UK Gas Services (UK GS) is seeking experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineers to deliver high-quality installations and upgrades across social housing frameworks. Works will include planned maintenance programmes, heating upgrades, and responsive repairs within occupied and void properties.
This role requires strong technical competence, excellent customer service skills, and a clear understanding of compliance and tenant care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of heating systems in domestic social housing properties
- Boiler swaps and full heating upgrades
- First and second fix plumbing
- Radiator and cylinder installations
- Fault finding and system diagnostics
- Working within tenant-occupied properties with professionalism
- Completing all compliance documentation and certification
- Ensuring adherence to Gas Safe, Building Regulations and framework specifications
- Meeting KPI targets (right first time, programme deadlines, quality standards)
- Maintaining safe and clean working environments
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 Plumbing & Heating
- Gas Safe Registered
- Unvented (G3) Certification
- Experience in social housing or domestic maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong customer service skills
Desirable
- Experience working under local authority or housing association frameworks
- Knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates) contracts
- DBS Check (or willingness to obtain)
