UK Gas Services (UK GS) is seeking experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineers to work on new build housing developments, including low-carbon and renewable energy installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing, heating, and renewable system installations in line with current Building Regulations, Part L requirements, and developer specifications.
This role supports the transition to energy-efficient homes including air source heat pumps (ASHP), underfloor heating systems, and other sustainable technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- First and second fix plumbing installations
- Installation of traditional gas heating systems (where applicable)
- Installation and commissioning of renewable heating systems, including:
- Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
- Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) (where applicable)
- Hybrid systems
- Installation of underfloor heating systems
- Installation of unvented hot water cylinders
- Pressure testing, system flushing and balancing
- Working from M&E drawings and specifications
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations (Part L, G3 etc.)
- Working to NHBC standards and developer quality requirements
- Liaising with site managers and other trades
- Completing commissioning documentation and handover packs
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating
- Valid CSCS Card
- Experience on new build housing developments
- Unvented Hot Water (G3) Certification
- Experience installing heat pumps and low-temperature heating systems
- Strong understanding of energy-efficient system design
- Full UK Driving Licence

- Understanding of Part L and Future Homes Standard
