UK Gas Services (UK GS) is recruiting qualified Electricians to work on new build housing developments incorporating renewable and low-carbon technologies. The role involves full electrical installation works alongside renewable system integration such as solar PV and heat pump wiring.
The successful candidate will be experienced in modern domestic installations and comfortable working with emerging energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- First and second fix electrical installations
- Full wiring of domestic new build properties
- Installation of consumer units, lighting, sockets, and accessories
- Installation and wiring of:
- Solar PV systems
- Battery storage systems
- Air source heat pump supplies and controls
- EV charging points
- Installation of heating controls and smart thermostats
- Testing and inspection of installations
- Compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition)
- Working from electrical drawings and renewable layouts
- Coordinating with plumbing and renewable engineers
- Completion of certification and handover documentation
- Ensuring site health & safety compliance
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- ECS/CSCS Card
- Experience in new build housing
- Experience wiring renewable technologies
- Ability to test and inspect installations
Desirable
- 2391 Testing & Inspection
- Solar PV qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Solar Photovoltaic Systems)
- EV Charger installation qualification
- Experience working on low-carbon developments
- Knowledge of battery storage systems
