What's the difference between a boiler service and a gas safety check?
They're different things. A gas safety check (CP12) confirms that gas appliances are safe - it's a legal requirement for landlords. A boiler service is a more detailed inspection of the boiler itself, covering efficiency, wear and internal condition. You can have both, but one doesn't replace the other.
How often should I have my boiler serviced?
Once a year, ideally at the same time each year. Most manufacturers require annual servicing to keep the warranty valid, and it helps catch small issues before they become expensive ones.
Do I need a service to keep my warranty valid?
Yes, in most cases. Manufacturer warranties typically require evidence of at least one annual service. We can check what your specific warranty requires when you get in touch.
Who carries out the service?
All services are carried out by our own Gas Safe registered engineers - not subcontractors. You get the same standard of care every time.
What happens if something is wrong with my boiler?
If we find an issue, we'll tell you clearly what it is and what it would cost to fix before any additional work is done. You're never committed to repairs on the day.
